Wednesday

No pictures today.  I am just going to tell you a little about my day.
After work today I had an appointment for the last injections I could have for pain in my back and hip area for a few weeks.  This pain I have been living with for about 5 years and it had really started missing with my life the last couple of years.  I have not been able to exercise properly and it was becoming hard to remember the last time I slept through a complete night.  I was starting to get really tired and it has been a lot of the reason projects get started and not finished around here.  I always think of something new I really want to do and then I lose all my motivation after starting.
So I finally got scrappy with the doctor I had been going to (guess what, will not be going back to her either) and finally was sent for an MRI and from there on to a pain specialist.  Each time I go, I need to have a driver because they give you a sedative before the injections.  My driver up to today has been my lovely mom in law but she was not available today.  So my oldest daughter drove up from the city just to take me to my appointment.  That is a good hour and a half round trip and then from here to the doctor and back to our house another hour in the car.  While we were out she helped me drop off the trunk full to Goodwill from the closet clean out and after my appointment we went to Applebees for dinner, my treat of coarse.  They have some awesome options on their menu with Weight Watchers points so it was not hard to make a choice.  Then we watched American Idol together before she made her trip back home.
I am now suppose to go back to physical therapy since they cannot give me any more injections at this time.  So far the injections have only helped for a week or two at a time.  There is another option they could do next with at least a 7 month painless ending, but of course our insurance does not pay for that procedure.   In a few weeks I will be going back to the specialist office to let them know how this last treatment went and discuss where to go from here.
I had a wonderful time with my oldest daughter because we do not spend time together one on one very often anymore.  So despite the reason for her help, it was a blessing for me.  Blessing to all of you also!
Did you miss the pictures?

Sorry to hear about your pain, my younger sister has that problem also, they tell her she's looking at a hip replacement! I hope you feel better soon and are able to get a good nights rest.

It's nice that your daughter lives close enough to take you to the doctor - I know you enjoyed your visit with her. And I also know about pain - I have fibromyalgia - and the medications I take for it really mess with my motivation.

I'm hoping you feel better today.

Wowsa, I hope that you can figure something out to help you with all the pain! Keep your chin up. Glad to hear you got to spend time with your daughter too. Sometimes what turns out as a pain ends up a blessing! XOP
