Some of you may remember my post about this quilt top last year. I started it for my second daughter over three years ago. It was started for a full size bed, then their bed was changed to a queen and then a king size. I bought the gold colored fabric to the right side of the picture for a boarder and plan on using the pile of fabric left from the butterfly appliques for a second boarder to make the quilt top large enough. I've had the gold fabric for at least a year now and still have not cut it. It is washed, it has been pressed. The problem is I always shy away from cutting long strips of fabric. I am always worried I will not keep it straight. But my word for the year is Finish and this weekend I am going to cut. I hope you check out both these wonderful ladies blogs that I mentioned earlier in the post and that you all have a wonderful weekend! Blessings!

Finish
I like to visit Mama Sparks World daily. I enjoy seeing what she is working on, she is a wonderful quilter, and what else she has going on in her life. When I leave a comment she always gets back with me and is a good bloggy friend. Yesterday when I visited she was talking about her word of the year which is Happiness. She had chose a word after visiting Charming Chatter's Word Up post. In my comment, I mentioned I should pick the word Finish, and Mama Sparks World encouraged me to do just that. So friends, my word for the year is Finish! I have quite a few projects that are incomplete and I am going to work on completing them this year along with finishing my commitment to loose the 20 pounds I want to loose by April 1'st. My weight on the 2nd was 154.5 today it is 152.5. Two pounds off.

You are sooooo sweet!! Thank you for your kind words and I will be keeping an eye on your progress! You are doing GREAT on your weight loss, keep it up!
What a good word to use for the year! Good luck with finishing the pretty quilt you started.
My father was a wonderful man who had lots of saying. One of his favorites was measure twice cut once. I think of that anytime I get set to cut anything. Good luck with tour FINISH projects.
Love your word - something I could certainly use more of in my life!! Your quilt is just lovely! And, way to go on losing those pounds - I definitely need some work there too! Wishing you all the best in lots of finishes this year!
