FNWF

Last night was Friday Night With Friends over at Gone Stitchin'.

I had planned on cutting out some quilt blocks for the Farmers Wife quilt I have not worked on since last spring and a couple of jumpers for my granddaughters.  You know the saying, best plans laid, actually I cannot remember the exact words.  I did not touch a piece of fabric, but I did crochet for a short time on the second cuff of this free sock pattern I got from the Redheart site. I am using Deborah Norville Serenity sock weight in the color of Surf.
I will share how these come out when I get them finished.  They certainly do not look like much at this time. This is only the second pair of socks I have crocheted.  I really would like to take a class to learn to knit a pair.  I hope all the Friday Night Friends accomplished what they set out to do, I am off to go visit a few and see what they have to share.
Blessings from our home in the woods!
Brenda

Lovely yarn! I know what you mean about planning to "do something" and then you get started on something else. It's good that we have so many skills that we can do a number of different things! You are so talented that you can sew, quilt, and crochet! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend! Hubby and I were shopping for the booth all day! Great fun!!!

Pretty colors...it is hard to get back into the groove of things. I'm attempting it myself, wish me luck!!

I certainly know the feeling of setting out to do something and ending up doing something else Brenda. I haven't had the courage to try the farmers wife quilt but you see the trouble I have been having with simple squares so TFW will have to wait for me to get some more experience at quilting under my belt! The socks are going to be so pretty!

Hey girl, I say good job on crocheting socks...I can't knit or crochet them. I'm glad to see you are still having Friday night fun with your blogger friends. I can't seem to stay awake past 9:00 pm!
