They are here!

Day one.

I took a lot more pictures but I did not notice how soiled the paper already was while I was excitedly taking the pictures until I downloaded them to my computer.  I was gone all day and the post office called mid-morning.  Hubs ran into town, picked up 15 feathered girls and got them under the light.  I was so excited when I got home I tried to pick up each one because I read if handled often from a young age the chickens would be friendly.  But they moved each time I set one down to a point that I did not know which I had held.  I'll take more pictures after I change their paper.  Sweet little peeps.  Thanks for coming by!

Hi there, your chickie darlings are Sweeeeeeeeeeet. Yes, handle them a lot and feed them by hand with little treats with tweezers and a liquidy mash with an eyedropper. Let them fall asleep in your hand. The more you handle them, the more they will relax and ENJOY it. Tap the paper with your finger when you bring a treat to feed them...and mimic the hen sound of bukbuk. Sounds nutty I know, but they will forever be friendly hens instead of the kind that flap around in the coop like lunatics. Enjoy! Mine are soon to arrive...mid-May. shery j

Oh Brenda how cute! You made me giggle when you mentioned that you wanted to hold each one but when you put one down you couldn't tell which ones you had already held. :) Thank you for making me smile.

So so so so cute!!!! I want some more babies. I love my grown chickens, but there's nothing like a peep. I'm sorry to hear that one isn't doing so well. This is what I did for Helen to nurse her back - yogurt, strawberries and a little mash. Mash it all together, and try spoon feeding the chick. I also kept Helen wrapped in a little cloth, and in my jacket! I hope your bird will be ok!
