Good morning!
It is Vintage Christmas Monday and I am just getting around to posting. I have had a very busy week and have not been able to add anything to my blog since last Monday. Here is my only vintage piece to show this week. It is my childhood stocking that I still put out each year. My girls use to tell me I needed a stocking with my name on it. I have always told them that I am always a sister and I am attached to it. My husband tells me it is getting to worn for him to fill but still manages to do it each year. Lucky me! Here is the front.

And the back. I hung it on the tree just so I could get a couple of good pictures. I thought I would add a couple of pretty snow pictures from this past week also. This first one is of our drive. You cannot see the road from the house, actually you cannot really see the drive for the snow.

This is a view of our front pond. When the temperature changes it seems to churn up the bottom and look a little muddy. But it still made for a pretty picture.

And the last one is a picture of the walkway back through our woods.

Go over to the party at http://thepottingshed-anythinggoeshere.blogspot.com/2009/11/vintage-christmas-monday-blog-party.html with Joan and check out all the other vintage fun!
Thanks for stopping in for a visit!

Oh Brenda sweetie...
I absolutely adore that stocking, and don't get rid of it. It is so beautiful, and do you know what people pay for that kind of thing today. When it gets to frail for usage, I would frame it, and bring it out and hang it still each year.
I love it. Thank you for sharing with me today.

Your snow scenes with the pond are just beautiful. Oh how I love the snow. None here in Phoenix.

Stop by and say hi. I love the company.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Old stockings like yours are the best. I still have my childhood stocking too and I display it every year. Beautiful pictures of the snow.

Brenda...what a LOVELY scene around your home!!! So peaceful and beautiful! God's creation all around! Amazing pictures!!

Love your stocking! I had one that my grandma made and I haven't been ablt to find it for years:( It was red flannel with a Holly wreath stitched on it,silvery garland at the top and bells on the wreath! I thought mine was the best out of all the kids and grandkids because of those bells!! Still do!

Have a wonderful week and keep enjoying that beauty!!

I can't wait to get to the house for Christmas to see all the decorations in person!

Oh, and so that you know, dearest mother, while I was re-vamping the appearance of my log, I added you to my blog list. At some point, I should make you a little image that others can use as a pretty to link back to your blog. :D

Love the stocking! Older is better..just like us! I too am going to be alone with my hubby on Christmas. We are having Christmas with the kids and grand daughter on Christmas Eve because Josh, J's boyfriend is a chargers nut and they play the tennessee titians on christmas day and we got them tickets for one of their presents. Also this is the first Christmas without my mom and even though she had been in a nursing home for several years, we still spent part of our day with her. I think we are moving into a different part of our lives....we are so lucky to have our Jeff's!!! We are celebrating our 20th on the 23rd!
