Farmgirl Friday

A few weeks ago I pulled a very old ironing board cover off a very old ironing board and I posted the pictures of all the layers here.  I recently purchased a new sewing machine which I am dancing with joy about.  I had it on Lay-away for about three months to get it paid for.
So the first project I sewed on my new machine was a new ironing board cover.
Had to make a new pad.

I know you would think there would be no wrinkles in an ironing board cover wouldn't you.  I had to carry it up the stairs to get a better picture and by time I carried it around the house to get the best picture it was all wrinkled.

Here it is above in the area it actually belongs in. You can get the tutorial at I Have To Say if you would like to make yourself a new ironing board cover.  I have one more I need to make but I need to take this one apart and figure out a different way to make it since I cannot run a drawstring around the back of this one.
Pretty ugly.
Linking up to Farmgirl Friday since that is where I first shared the original cover being removed.
Have a wonderful weekend and many blessings from our home in the woods!
