Shop Hop Results

This past weekend I went on a Quilt shop hop with a couple of my friends.  We have so much fun hopping around the different quilt shops and this past Saturday we went to a few we had never been to before.  It was great fun spending time with my friends and finding new fabrics that we had not seen before.  I have been wanting to make some new ironing board covers and finally found the fabric I wanted for that project.
If you are interested in the instructions Randi at i have to say had a sew along a while back and you can follow her instructions for a really cute cover.

I also found the fabric I wanted for a class I am taking with my friends to make a new bag.  I have loaned my pattern to my best friend so I will have to share that with you later, but here are the fabrics I chose.
I bought some of these same fabrics last year in the pink color scheme for a quilt that I am going to make for my youngest daughter.  Soon I should start cutting it, just need to get past a new grand baby birth and some birthday presents that I need to finish up over the next couple of weeks.

I also bought some thirties fabric, just cannot pass it up totally.
There was also a couple of small kits and a couple more fat quarters but the pictures did not turn out.  What I am showing you were my favorite buys.  I hope to be back in a couple of days with some finished projects.

Love the fabric in the top photo, they look vintage. So glad you have a fun time with your friends. We went on a field trip today and had a great day!

Brenda~ thanks so much for the lovely thoughts and prayers. They are greatly appreciated and felt from afar! I make it a point to thank God for everything negative that's happening (good too, but bad is hard to be thankful for!) and it's amazing what peace He has given me!!

Love all your fabrics! those little girls are adorable...can't wait to see what you make with it!
I have that umbrella fabric at the bottom. It's one of my favorite 30's prints.

Thank you so much for your friendship...I treasure it!

What fun! Didn't you go on a Quilt shop hop last year? I have never been on one but it sounds like a great day with friends. I like your material choices and I can't wait to see what you make with them. You are so good at actually using what you buy!
