Putting Things Back Where They Belong

Oh yeah!! It is Friday!  I am so glad the weekend has hit.  I have been working on putting my work area (or as Cindy Bee likes to call it) my studio back together.  Hubs has finished laying the flooring and I love it!
I have decided to take my time putting everything back together and paint some items that I had just put to use quickly when I found them or bought them.  Hoping to do a better job at organizing things.
The green cupboard was out of an old office hubs and I use to work at.  It was once used by our oldest daughter to keep her collectible Barbies in as a teenager (she is 31 now).  When she moved out I used it in my sewing room at our previous house for storage and the color it is now is what I painted it then.  I am going to spruce it up a little while still keeping it this color.
This is the cutting table hubs built for me this past December for my birthday.  I had a couple pinned on one of my Pinterest boards that I showed him picture of and he went to town.  The inspiration pictures are here and here.  One of these ladies has the table top on cubes the other on store bought bookshelves.  I am short, 5 foot to be exact.  So instead of trying to buy bookshelves that were the right height, hubs built some.  He also decided to just build two instead of four bookshelves so there is some overhang in case I would want to sit at the table to do other projects.
He built the shelving on each side differently.
He also helped me to cover the top with some vinyl covered fabric.
This side holds all of my sewing, quilting books and magazines that are in some black magazine holders.  I have not filled the other side yet, still have to dig into everything that is piled in the grands playroom that is right next to my work area.
Hooking up with the Farmgirl Friday Blog Hop over at Deborah Jean's Dandelion House.  Thought I would share with everyone where I do my quilting, apron making and other farmgirl crafts.
Have a great Friday and blessings from our home in the woods!

Oh my stars! That is exactly the craft/sewing table i want!! I saw it in the Pottery Barn catalog ( don't buy anythng in it, just want it for the ideas!) and I had seen where folks got those 9 square shelves and put a hollow door on top, but like you, I am short and it is too high for me! I guess in my next house I will create my space kinda like yours. Love the black and white! I know, isn't that bag adorable! My pound cake was amazing, I gave most of it away, so I would not eat it! I am now sitting watching the weather, we have had tornados and severe storms all day!Happy weekend, friend!

How wonderful to have a dedicated workroom! I'm envious!! I love everything!!! Nice to have a talented hubby to build that worktable too!

I just started doing some embroidery on my quilt that's being made for me by my husband's cousin! I can't wait to see the finished product.

My husband's cousin is giving me lots of tips to help me when I finally start quilting!
