Read a good book lately? I picked this one up at the library a couple of weeks ago. The story takes place in the U.P., Michigan's upper peninsula. Hubs and I love to vacation along Lake Superior so the title got my attention. After I read the back flap about the author I knew we had ate at the diner that she runs, which has become one of our favorite stops when we are north. If you live in Michigan and love to read, this is a must. And if you do not live in Michigan and want a good read, this is a must for you also. If you have read a good book lately, please share. This looks like a great read. I love to read books about the south because I have seen the places and they come alive to me. One of my favorite authors is Cassandra Kind, she is Pat Conroy's wife and wrote Queen of Broken Hears, The Same Sweet Girls, The Sunday Wife ...I've read them and they are so good. Making waves is the one I am saving for our spring break trip to the beach! Love your repurposing for your craft room!

I am a mother of 3 daughters and grandmother of 8, 6 boys and 2 girls. I love to sew, paint, garden and enjoy many different crafts. Ladybug is actually my Scottie's name and she gives my hubs and I many hours of pleasure. I dream up many ideas of which a few I manage to make happen. My husband is very talented and has a few hobbies of his own so he puts up with my many hobbies and the mess they leave behind. I cannot say this blog is about anything in particular except our love of home, family and friends with a few interesting things sprinkled in here and there.
