Projects Finished and Gifts Given

Here it is a new year and I have not shared anything that has happened in the last month of last year.  It is time for Jenny Matlock's Alphabe Thursday, so I have decided to continue to post about the projects that are being worked on or finished around here.  I missed week F so I am combining it with week G.  Finished projects given as gifts.

In December I  finished number 6 afghan crocheted within a year for our grandsons number 5 birthday celebration.
Finished
Turning Five
And a few of you wanted to see what I did with the fabrics I shared with you here.  I was making more gifts!
Notebook Covers
Lighting was better in this picture.
The inside of the covers.
And keeping with the hand made gifts I also finished a birthday present for my best friend.
Work apron for the sewing room.

I invite you to go on over and check out all the other posts, you will find recipes, stories, travel destinations and a number of informative things being shared.
Blessings from our home in the woods!

Wow! You've been busy! Those notebook covers are great! Slurps and yips to Miss Ladybug from Jake and Albert, her distant cousins. ;)

The afghan is beautiful and it certainly looks like it had a handsome, happy, smiling recipient. His cake was wonderful too. The notebooks and apron are adorable. The fabrics and trimmings are so nice. I think they could be made into a great crochet hook case as well (if I was a good with needle and thread as you are). Lovely lovely gifts.

These are THE BEST kind of gifts--very useful and made with love! I think my older grandchildren are trying to steer me towards this tradition of homemade gifts. I guess I will just have to succumb! I'll keep you posted!!

Your family and friends are lucky to receive the gifts you make. The reindeer cake must have brought out big smiles when it was unveiled.

Thank you all, but the cake I cannot take credit for, my daughter bought it for the birthday party. Was really cute though.

Everything is so cool. I love the notebook covers... they are so neat. Makes me wish I pursued sewing more than I have but alas I only have so much time. The afghan is really neat too. As for the cake... just fun.
