30 Minute Pillowcases

Just wanted to share with all of you what I did on Sunday afternoon.  I got together with my friends that I went to the quilt shop hop with to sew.  We picked up a lot of free how to sheets at the different shops we went to weekend before last and decided we would get together to work on the different projects.  So the first one we picked to do is called a 30 Minute Pillowcase.  After you get the first one under your belt they are super easy.  I am not sure I could finish one in 30 minutes but definitely I could make one within an hour.  One of the ladies had already did this project in the past so she was our sewing teacher for the afternoon.  She helped each one of us with our first one and answered questions on the 2nd one if we needed help.  We all brought a little snack (no one even asked us to we just did) and the basketball game was playing in the background.  They all live within a few miles of each other but I live about one hour away so I hope I can work some more group sewing classes into my schedule!  I thought about doing a tutorial for anyone that might want to know how but I have not done one before and I am a little afraid to make that step.  Stopped by my daughters house on the way home from the sewing group and gave the grand daughters their pillowcases.   Here is how they turned out.

I want to make some for my grandsons so I will be watching for some fabric sales.  I forgot to take pictures of the group but they made some beautiful cases.  Some bright children's prints and some lovely prints for adults.  It was great fun!  Thanks for stopping in!
