The garden is in!

Well most of it is in. We still need to plant a few more seeds. But we have worked the whole weekend on it and have high hopes! We are 2 weeks later than last year getting it planted. If you read any of my earlier posts this spring you know that our water table is up on our property. Our two ponds are overflowing still and our garden has been muck. Every time we thought it might have a chance of drying out we got more rain. So we decided no matter what, we had to plant this weekend. We went out Friday after work and only got one row of hot peppers in before we decided it was just too muddy and the mosquitoes were going to eat us alive. So Saturday we started again. After adding bales of peat and raking and tilling, we were finally ready to plant. Still somewhat wet but we are going to hope for the best. I've posted pictures of last years garden below. I don't know if we will ever again have a garden that beautiful. I'll post pictures through the summer for anyone that would like to follow our progress.

Brenda,
O.k. glad to know that we're not the only ones with a difficult spring for planting! I love the pics from last year! It looks like you have a nice sized garden. What size is it? We only did a 20x24 this year. But our raspberries, blueberries and strawberries are planted in another area so they don't take up the main garden spot. I can't wait to see how yours turns out this year. :)
