Gardening and Blooms

I'm still here, I just have not had a lot to talk about in the past few days.  I have been working outside in my flower beds but there is not a lot to show of that yet.  Potted up a couple of pots to fill in some bare spots in the border.
There are daisies and poppies blooming.
The vegetable garden we put in is about a quarter of the size that we normally plant.  Hubs is reworking the rest of the area, adding compost and whatever else it needs this year.  Letting it rest in hopes that next year it will produce better than it did last year.  It is hard to see but this is what we planted this past weekend.
There are about 1 dozen tomato plants, a row of peppers, some cucumbers, zucchini and two rows of green beans.  The thing is, that is about the size we always planted when we lived in the city and we had just enough for the table and some to can.  We have been sharing a lot since we moved here a few years ago so we will have to disappoint a few family and friends this year.  But hopefully we will be able to share again next year.

I leave you now with a picture of a couple of the feathered ladies.  They are happy as can be now that they are able to wonder around the yard again.
Blessings from our home in the woods!

Your flowers look so pretty growing along the fence! Daisies are just so cheerful and I love poppies!!!
I've got most of my garden planted, but it sure is slow...over 2 weeks for some things to come up. I planted 4 rows of peas and I have exactly 4 pea plants. What is up with that???? Do over!
Love seeing the girls!!! How many do you have?
Have a great week!

Our Garden was just sad last year, it had to have been the weather. We are going to plant some zinnias or something this weekend in our raised beds that are usually veggies. I think that your garden is beautiful. I have a poppies blooming, too!

I won't have a garden at all this year. I miss it, but there is just too much going on getting things moved out of here. I have been moving craft stuff this week. Oh my. That's all I can about that!

Hey lupin's grow wild along the road in your area? I love them. Don't you think their leaves look tropical? I do. Have you ever read Miss Rumphius? It's a wonderful book you need to get, and read to the Grands.
