Still working on that same room...I have a set of vintage quilts that I bought at a estate sale a few years ago. One side is solid lavender and the other I would call a celery green. I cannot decide which side I should use. I am making quilts for the beds and have one started but in the meantime I need to use these. Hubs says if I use the green side that I have way too much green in the room. The lavender is not the same shade as the paint I put behind the headboards. I have each of the beds made with the two different colors and I thought I would leave it for a couple of days until I decide. I think one will probably grow on me more than the other. I have a couple more pillows to add after I decide.
I value all or your opinions and hope you can help me with this decision. We are going on a short vacation the end of the week. I hope to show you the before and after as soon as I get back. Have a great week!
Blessings!

Well, from the pic I can't see that the lavender isn't the same shade. I thik you could probably use either one, like you said, sometimes it is best to look at it for a few days and see what you think. Pretty room. Hugs, Marty
The lavender looks really nice. In my bedroom I have three different shades of green and it looks great. Some times when you match so perfectly it just looks too put together. Please stop by my blog if you get a chance. I'm new to blogging and really enjoying myself. Would love another follower!!I enjoyed my visit today.
Can you fold the quilt down so that both colors show? Then I don't think that the shade of lavender will be such an issue, and you won't have too much green. So pretty !
I like the lavender it might not be the same shade but that way the bed doesn't blend into the walls as much in my opinion.
Hello Ladybug (love the name!), I really like the lavender, (my bridesmaids wore that color!)I think it really makes the green walls pop! It's nice to have different shades of the same color. You mention a quilt, could you hang it on the wall? If you have time please stop by and visit my new blog, I love company and new Followers! Thank you for letting me visit your home!
I think they both look nice and that you should fold the top down so that the other color shows too.
Definitely like the lavender spread better. The green bedspread is so place that it just gets lost. Love the quilt print you're working on and can hardly wait to see the finished product! Enjoy your mini vacay!!!
Although I am a BIG lover of all things green...I like the lavender in this room. It gives it more personality and character. Can't wait to see more pictures!
You are right, both colors are not quite right but I like the idea of purple side up and fold the green down a bite. I also think that a few pillows with both colors in them would tie the colors together. I like the paint techniaue on the headboard wall, good job!
Decisions Decisions. I say leave the lavendar side up and throw some different shades of green and lavendar pillows on the bed. Put the new quilt at the bottom of the bed when it's finished.

I agree with Debbie. Show both sides. I like the lavender but the green looks almost white on my computer. The stitching in this quilt is incredible!
Blessings,
Marcia
I'm kinda thinking the green....
