Friday Night Sew-In

I've been sewing this evening.
I have some vintage barbie doll clothing patterns that I am using to make gifts for my granddaughters and a niece for this coming Christmas.  If you have been following me you know I have crocheted a set of cloths for each of them, but I am finding that is taking longer than I thought it would so I decided I need to add some sewn sets to the gifts also.
This is what I already had sewn so far on a gown and robe set I am making.  I will show you what I get done this evening sometime tomorrow.
These are two of the three little girls I am making these Barbie cloths for.  They love their dolls.

My mom made all of my Barbie clothes. My niece now plays with them when she visits my Dad and Stepmom. I have sewn some doll clothes and can't imagine sewing such tiny outfits.
Blessings,

You should crochet the girls a scarf and a matching scarf for their barbies. That'd go fast. I thought about doing that for my nieces and their American Girl dolls.

I used to make my Barbie dolls clothe, my favorite was when I was "in love" with Gone With The Wind and made hoop skirts out of coat hangers. I used to make all my dresses when I was young....people thought we were rich because I had a new outfit each week. Little did they know that I made the dresses for under 10 dollars, money I earned when I babysat. Knowing how to sew is an essential skill for everyone! Thanks for sharing your lovely work!
