V is for Vegetable Garden
Hubs and I plant a large vegetable garden. We use to garden in raised beds when we lived in the city and had more than enough to can our yearly salsa supply and other goodies. When we moved into this home the previous owners had a very large garden quite a ways out on the back acres. Hubs has decided to continue on in that garden. I sometimes think it is his excuse to drive his large garden tractor every day after the weather clears up in the spring. Quite a few of the Alpabe-Thursday participants were concerned that all of our tomato plants I showed on T week would be eaten by the animals who's tracks I also showed that week. Never fear there is a very high fence surrounding our vegetable garden.

What a lovely garden you have! I would be in heaven if I has so much space to plant. There is nothing better than fresh produce that you grow yourself.

ReplyDeleteThat is a huge garden, and a lot of work! Our garden is not nearly so big, I can't imagine all that space. How do you keep the weeds at bay? Thanks for sharing your Vegetable Garden with us.

ReplyDeleteThat's a serious fence!...no critters are going to get into that garden. You'll be canning salsa for weeks and enjoying its heat all winter!

ReplyDeleteWell the weather seems to be better than it was last year and I don't think we have to worry about a cool summer this year.
ReplyDeleteFresh veggies are the best. From a quickly salad to beans beans and more beans... mmmmmm. Now I want fresh corn on the cob.

Oh Brenda. I love this garden. It reminds me so much of my gardens in Ohio, right down to the cultivator.

ReplyDeleteHi Brenda! Oh My, you have a REAL garden...a good old-fashioned kind that lets you can and freeze etc. Mine is small...raised containers...just freshies during the summer. I bet you're also happy to see autumn come too. I remember I was when I was a kid. My mama had us busy in the kitchen during canning time. shery
